Machinery safety
For a compliant and protected work environment
Using non-compliant machinery exposes employees to the risk of serious injuries and the company to severe penalties in case of accidents or compliance checks. Implementing a development plan in line with European regulations and national laws is essential to aim for what is called the "safety integration principle", to ensure worker protection and maintain safe, efficient, and compliant production continuity.e.
Our professionals support various entities with specialized technical assistance to verify applicable safety requirements, ensuring that industrial machines are designed and built to minimize risks and protect worker health and safety.

Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
The area related to Machine Safety adheres to the criteria defined by the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, which establishes safety requirements for machinery, their manufacturing, market entry, and commissioning. It includes specific activities aimed at enhancing the safety level of installations by integrating safety into the design and construction phases, up to proper installation and maintenance. For machines without CE marking, as they were built before the implementation of the Machinery Directive, the reference legislation requires that work equipment complies with the minimum safety requirements set out in Annex V of Legislative Decree 81/08.
Annex V Compliance and Safety Implementation
Work equipment built and made available to workers before the enactment of legislative and regulatory measures transposing EU product directives must comply with the general safety requirements of Annex V of Legislative Decree 81/2008.
We support your entity with:
- Compliance verification according to Annex V and suggest adjustments according to the reference technical standards UNI EN ISO;
- Study of safety functions according to the reference technical standards (EN 13849-1);
- Possible implementation of the adjustment interventions, coordinating qualified companies to perform the interventions (this activity can also be performed by the client themselves);
- Testing of the equipment with issuance of a certificate of compliance with the minimum safety requirements.
Risk Assessment of Work Equipment and Machines
The activity aims to ensure that workers have work equipment suitable for the tasks to be performed, comply with health and safety requirements, and that adequate maintenance is ensured to preserve the safety features and protective measures adopted over time.
