For all types of company, D.Lgs. 81/2008 requires the Employer to evaluate all risks for the health and safety of workers, including ergonomic risk, and through an ergonomic pre-assessment, it intercepts and measures the risk related to repetitive movement and physical exertion workers may be exposed, preventing occupational diseases and unpleasant consequences for the company.

According to ISO/TR 12295, the ergonomic pre-assessment shall be conducted as follows:

  • identify the presence of for each homogeneous group of workers;
  • identify any critical points where action is needed;
  • provide suggestions to reduce risk.
